Icon3 01 civic slight sputter problem

Hi guys I have a slight sputter problem, I'll explain it in detail. When I barely press the gas pedal you can hear the sputter in the muffler, it also happens when I let off the gas pedal slightly, the v-tec works fine kicks in when suppose to, this happened with on it's on with nothing different on motor, so it threw the mis fire codes so I changed plugs and coil packs and it still done same thing so $200+ down drain, checked for vacuum leak and no leaks anywhere. I have no idea what it could be and it's starting to irratate me, so if anyone has this problem or knows how to fix it I'd appreciate any help you could give

How many miles are on the car?

Does it still throw misfire codes?

Was it only throwing misfire codes, or were there others too?

Which spark plugs did you install?

Did you use OEM or aftermarket coilpacks?

I had a problem like this with my del sol ..i would be driving and suddenly it would start sputtering like you described, im not sure if i fixed it or it just went away by itself but i just took off my cold Air intake filter (it was really dirty) and cleaned it inside & out with an air compressor and it seemed to go away...(not a expert or mechanic) just something you can try. best of luck.

It doesn't rev up to 1500 anymore, that part is back to normal but my CEL came back on haven't checked codes yet tho. If I let my car sputter over 5 or 6 seconds the CEL starts to flash until I make it stop sputtering I have no clue what is causing these problems cause I've done nothing new to motor when the sputtering started sense then I've just replaced plugs and coil packs and reset ECU and no fix grrrr. I think it's time to go old school and build my B16 and run turbo and have it tuned and be done with this sputter

From my sputter exp, it the dist cap. Just do a basic tune up. Dist cap, sprk plug wires and plugs. It will be fine. Dont forget tot check the timing.
