Default Stumbling!

My car seems to stumble a bit in 1st and 2nd when accelerating at 1/3-1/2 throttle to 3000 rpm. I'm uncertain as to whether or not this problem started after I changed the plugs to Bosch Platinum +4's (I'm going to change them back to NGK coppers, but I can't seem to get a hold of 'em). I also noticed that after I changed the plugs, the engine sometimes clunks when it turns over from a cold start...

I thought the problem might be a ignition timing problem / spark plug problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

I'm having the same problem, but only after the car has had a chance to get hot. So far I've replaced all the ignition components except for the ignition module. It seemed to help a lot. I'm in the process of checking the entire fuel system now. I doubt that the problem started after you changed the plugs, but I like NGK coppers the best.

Ya, the problem occurs when the engine is warm...

Let me know if you've pinpointed the problem. I'm going to change the plugs and wires, and fix the ignition timing, hopefully that'll help.

So by ignition components, does that include the coil?

Yeah, the coil can cause it when the engine is hot, so I replaced it; it didn't cure the problem though. I have an MSD box and a blaster coil that I put in like a year and a half ago, so I didn't think that that was the problem, and I guess it wasn't.

i had a problem like that but it was related to my o2 sensor. i didn't get any codes but after replacing the o2 sensor the "stumbling" went away.

Do you think that my A/F meter is drawing too much current? I have a new O2 sitting around, so I guess I'll replace the primary one.

Let me know how that works out for you when you change it.

How hard is it to change the O2 sensor? And how much for the part? Alternatively, how much would it cost for me to take it to a shop?

Last time mine did that, I replaced the front 02 sensor before it got any better. So far, so good.

It's easy, you just need an O2 sensor socket and a soldering iron for the universal replacements; the parts from the dealer (with harness') are a lot more I think. One wire O2's are like $20, heated ones are more expensive. It might just be the answer, because I got a secondary O2 check engine code. I'm gonna replace it tonight, I'll tell you how it goes.
