well my fenders were messed up (dents and such) and filled them in w/ bondo after i banged the dents out. but my friend told me i need to find some better body filler for when i fill in little dings and **** before i paint my car. also im gonna shave my antenna and rain gutters, weld 1st tho.
but i just wanted something a littel stronger than bondo.

Rage gold body filler is the best there is
as for shaving your rain gutters thats a big no no. Those gutters are there for a reason and you dont wanna fill it with body filler. If you really wanna do it use fiberglass filler first and then body filler over top of that. The gutters will crack I promise

Well I realize you said you dont want bondo, but the fiberglass bondo works great. It has a bunch of fiberglass hairs in it and is just way stronger than regular bondo. I sold my 89 hatch two years ago, and just recently I asked the kid how the parts I fixed with the fiberglass bondo are holding up and he says "Which parts??" just my .02 Also is very easy to find and is cheap. Couldnt be better IMO.

lol, of course you didn't find it at auto parts stores, keep in mind thats also where you find quality auto paint brandnames like rustoleum, as opposed to ppg. You gotta look somewhere else for good stuff man, try an auto-body supplier. Rage gold is what my friend used on his chevy nova and its good stuff, amazing, I've heard some amazing stories about how well its held up, its a catalyzed body filler so make sure you get a tube of catalyst too

yeh ive got a whole can of bondoglass, i used it when i was making my fiberglass console. but i didnt know if i could use it for something like fixing dents or shaving stuff cuz of the hairs, i didnt know if they would sand smooth or not, do they tho? or would i need to put some normal filler on top to get it smooth

yeah the fiberglass stuff will smooth out fine, go for it if you've still been waiting. We just finish repairing a quarter panel on an EF and it turned out awesome.
