i read this topic earlier today and kinda caught my attention because my dad bought one of those a couple years ago during his *holy **** i dont want to be old* phase, i had never driven it till today since i'm content with the gsr that i own
that car does handle pretty damn well to be unmodded and i LOVE RWD, the miata DOES look like the s2k even though you gotta admit that the s2k will reign. but i would get a miata due to no money...........oh well, my gsr is baaaaaaaaaaad

on the experience of driving one. Is that good enough for you? If you can honestly say that the S2k and Miata have handling simularities..then Im sorry ..I would have to say ..that you judging the wrong simularities.

who the hell said anything about it compared to an s2000? (maybe the thread starter did, but i never did) i just wish you people who make such off the wall comments would have some stronger basis.it doesnt handle that good stock? compared to what? a used 3000 dollar miata is a great car. i base them from experience with them at autox and other driving events. i dont just say "oh they suck". thats a little out there. to each his own tho.

Sorry..But my opinion stands ..on the miata. Hell it maybe be only 3000 bucks ..but in that case go pick your self a used street bike..and watch run circles around it..if you wanna talk about dollar for dollar. I was just pointing out that you cannot compare a miata to a s2k..

wtf does a street bike have to do with a street car? if you wanna get all stupid with "what ifs" why not just buy a shifter kart? but that aint whats on topic. bottom line is, go to an event, check out the cars their, and then make claims. i dont care about what so and so drove on the street around the corner, etc etc. that means absolutely nothing. miatas are respected on the driving circuit for a reason.

ok..How does my comment reflect my personality as someone who goes to HIN and has strobes everywhere?

Any car with a WELL tuned suspension is gonna respected in the driving circuit. Plain and simple. Here we seemed to get off the subject...someone states that the s2k and miata share same simularities..and i state MY OPINION that they are 2 COMPLETLY different cars. Then you JaeOne ..talk about dollar for dollar..and a street bike would be better dollar for dollar.

they r two completely different cars. a street bike? uhh whole diff category. thats like saying "well blah blah 4x4..well you could get a tank" its like uhh ok of course. you said "its not good handling when its stock" based on what experience in what situation? just like navin said, damn.. i forgot this is appearance/cosmetic. wouldnt see such garbage in the RR/autox section.

It reflects your ignorance to a well setup car, that has won in many wheel to wheel racing events. Hell there is a spec-MIATA, I dont see a Spec-S2000 sereis yet..

fast or not, in my mind, the miata is a girl's car. why would you buy a miata when they make a del sol?
yeah the del sol is any more of a guys car.

I bet you my friends old miata could tear your car up without trying. Don't call a car gay just because you don't like it.

Miata suspension........ahhh a beautiful thing.

Both rear wheel drive roadsters. Not much difference.

anyone that bashes the miata has never been to a track event or autocross.

it's as simple as that.

miata bashers: GET OUT AND DRIVE YOUR CAR, watch it get wasted by a miata on the track.
