Age has nothing to do with it. If you would have used manners to start with I would have never said anything derogitory to you.

I am sure you have heard the term....Treat others as you wish to be treated.
I am sure you will see in all my posts that I respond in an equal manner in to which I was addressed.

Anyways back to the thread. I picked up a set of Avid billet mounts and AEM billet pulleys last night. Has anyone used them?
Motor is going back in the car as soon as the nice U.P.S man drops em off.
Then we get to try and make this climate control crap work.
Seems I might not have any other option.

On the road the SP Sport W-10 in the Plus Three 215/40R17 size felt very much the same as the Plus Two size for real world ride, noise and handling. On the track the 215/40R17 sized SP Sport W-10 again provided faster steering response and more grip than the Plus Two size. However, while the handling balance this combination "felt" good by providing faster turn-in and mid-corner stability, the car exhibited a little more understeer at the limit. While this still allowed minor corrections to be made, it made accomplishing them precisely a little more difficult. The SP Sport W-10 in the Plus Three size set the faster lap times of the day (over 2-1/4 seconds (6%) faster than the stock tires).

Um can someone say OWNED!!!!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>
You can quote some magazine testing Dunlop W10 Sports, which by the way are totally shitty discontinued tires, all you want to but at the end of the day you're rolling on some heavy pile of **** 18'' wheels with probably as shitty tires.

I have been selling tires since 2002 here at my shop, and I've actually driven on plenty of sets of W10 Sports in 15'', 16'', and 17'' sizes and they all sucked *****. I actually have hands-on driving experience here. I have been auto crossing for years and have again driven on countless wheel/tire set-ups. I also have selling experience here - what do you have? A magazine quote SOMEONE ELSE fetched for you? You're such a bitch.

All of this tire talk with the Grassroots test, yet how many auto crossers run 17'' wheels/tires on Civic? If they're the best you'd think national champs run on them, but holy **** they don't!

Also you can ride someone else's quotes all day and try and "own" me all you want to, but answer this one:

WHAT TIRES DO YOU RUN ON RIGHT NOW?

Thats the style vette he was boasting about?!

My mother had one of those about 8 years ago, in mint condition. I thought he meant a vette that would take some serious coin to afford

Exactly.

I can go out and buy some clapped-out Maaco painted Cross-Fire fuel injected piece of **** mid 80's Vette with the money I get from selling my beater 1990 Civic!

Also before anyone comments on my Cross-Fire injected line, I'm sure the 1985 was some other form of injection by then, but I honestly don't care because no 80's Vettes are worth bothering about since they were all horribly shitty except the 1989 ZR-1.

Sad thing is that I could afford one of those cars, with low miles, in mint condition....thats how little they are worth.

So he saves his aggressive driving for his beat up mid 80's vette and his early 90's Z32.....whoopee.

Less brake fade = faster stopping times.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Modern day pads do not build up the gasses that old pads used to, and the rotors are already vented - the slots do very little to help out in the venting. they help some, but they are not your saving grace bro.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">As for my larger rotors being heavier.....You really need to check yourself before trying to correct others.

I assure you that my LARGER rotors weigh less than stock. The hat of the rotor is aluminum. Last time I checked aluminum was just a tad lighter than steel.</TD></TR></TABLE>

You dumbass I hope you know the hat makes up very little of the rotor itself. you have increased the amount of iron by a good bit with those overkill big rotors - I'd like to see the actual weights compared to stock - I'll bet the "upgrades" are heavier, along with your retarded wheels.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Just felt you should consider everything before you try to correct people.</TD></TR></TABLE>

...that coming from someone who wants rotors that INCREASE stopping distances per your other post earlier trying to correct me.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 38 Year old dumbfuck &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">For one........you are taking guesses now.....I proved the brake theory about the rotating mass of the rotors to be incorrect, as well as the so called brake fade.</TD></TR></TABLE>

You proved NOTHING. I already stated you may be helping fade, but you obviously don't do enough hard braking to ever fade even stock brakes, do you?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">You have no idea what my wheels weigh. I do know that they do not weigh much. There is not much material in only 5 thin spokes.</TD></TR></TABLE>

You really amaze me at your increasing stupidity level. You think 18'' cast wheels are lightweight because of the "thing" spokes? You need to kill yourself soon, seriously.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> The tires are smaller than most so not much if any weight added there.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Again you're a dumb ************. Do you not realize that those tires are heavy as **** because of the extra steel belt material? Have you ever picked up an 18'' tire and then picked up a 15'' tire of the same brand? I have, and the 18'' is heavier.

Talk about "guessing" - you're doing it more than anyone else here assclown.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">For two.....Even though the force applied is the same........the material used to assist the appication of the force is far superior to stock trim.</TD></TR></TABLE>

The force applied is the same, yet you think you've improved braking? Try those same EBC pads on stock-sized rotors - it will be the same! you've improved the pads themselves, but the rotors do no good expect for maybe helping fade, which again you probably never run into since you drive a pile of **** on airbags.

BTW:

You said "aluminum weighs a tad less than steel" in regards to brake rotors, right?

Where's the steel in the stock rotors? They're IRON dumbass.

Just give up for God's sake.

I can't resist coming back in here and commenting...

That post about E.Honda's wife/gf/whatever was mean as hell (but I did laugh for a good 5 minutes)

Why are you worried about brake fade? Unless you are doing some serious roadcourse or downhill racing, you won't ever put the brakes to enough use to experience brake fade.

Steel is an alloy. Over 95% Iron, ~2% Carbon, ~1% Manganese, and some other stuff like phosphorus, silicon, oxygen, and sulfur. Depends on the kind of steel, the amounts of the composing elements will vary.

Cars like Corvette's and Vipers rock big wheels because they have high horsepower and torque, most Honda's don't. Simple physics explains why a lower horsepower uses smaller wheels.

Somebody said something about lower sidewall height is good for handling? Ever seen a Fomula 1 car? They run 14" wheels as far as I know, along with tremendous sidewall heights (which are currently being developed to be softer in order to increase footprint)

And what's with all of the nutswinging going on about this 'baller' who's throwing out cash left and right. Check the crib, yeah that ****'s tight son...

All I can really say is that Honda-Tech is a forum oriented to the performance-minded, not the showcrowd. Isn't there like ThuperHonda or something like that for those people? Take this bubblegum bullshit over there.

You might have thought it was me, but I actually was saying a lower sidewall would cause a car to have a tendency to slide under hard cornering since there was much less sidewall flex than a 205/50 tire. Either way you backed up my point for me It also seems like we are in an accord about the larger rims on a honda and how it just wasnt meant to be.
