its ok Brice. clearly our friend 'clipsed' here does not realize that in 20 years, this car is the new 67 mustang. With that, a mint, numbers matching R is the hemi cuda convertible of the future.
from what I googled real quick, in ole '67, just about 500,000 mustangs were made for the US market.
in 1990, honda made about 400,000 civics available to the US market. just saying.
jeff, car will remain stock. just getting a cd player, a honda one at that
thanks for the kind words again everyone.

Like I said, if it were a 67 FASTBACK Mustang I'd be more excited. Now let's take a look at those numbers... 71,042 Mustang fastbacks (15%) were made, out of a total production of 472,121... Just over 71,000, FAR from your post of 500,000.
After quite a bit of searching I could not find any legitimate sources for civic production numbers in the US, I did find a cool *** article with a 5,400 Mile 1998 Acura Integra Type R though. NOW, if THAT were the car you got, It'd definitely be worth something later down the road.... Here's the read if you care....
http://www.insideline.com/features/1...-civic-si.html
All-in-all, like I said, kudos on the find, I have nothing against you or finding the car for that matter. It's cool that you found it even if it is the least wanted model.
It is "just a honda" It's an STD. o0o ****, guess I missed the part that this is Honda-Tech... No **** it's a Honda website...

Re: Meet Gemma. 36,156 orginial miles.
rofl clipsed. you reminded me exactly why I rarely come on HT anymore.
I said about 500,000 mustangs were made in 67. did I say fastbacks?
I said in about 400,000 civics were made in 1990. did I mention a number for hatches?
I do see your point, but you mis-read my response to you. No biggy.
here is my point though.
In 1967, someone (probably many) bought a mustang fastback with intentions of SAVING and PRESERVING IT.
In 1989/90, the only people who bought civic hatches with intentions of preserving it: maybe 5 in the country.
regardless, hope you find your mustang and you and dad can cherish that moment. That wasnt sarcasm either.
thanks for the kind words again guys.

That's cool you can bring my Dad into this though, shows what kind of person you are. Not that it really matters, but my dad has no interest in cars, he has a completely different hobby than I do and owns a business for it. Clearly you don't come on HT, because you're just like every other fanboi on this forum, you enjoy the nut hugging and attention.
Happy Thanksgiving

Re: Meet Gemma. 36,156 orginial miles.
Civic will never compare to a Mustang, however in 20 years, who knows, someone just might be looking for a 1991 STD Civic hatch, highly doubt it, but only time will tell. If anything it would have been an ideal find if it were an Si, then you'd have something RARE. Let me correct your numbers though as what you posted is far from correct.
Like I said, if it were a 67 FASTBACK Mustang I'd be more excited. Now let's take a look at those numbers... 71,042 Mustang fastbacks (15%) were made, out of a total production of 472,121... Just over 71,000, FAR from your post of 500,000.

Nope, I didn't misread your comment, you clearly misread mine when I said FASTBACK in my FIRST post. There's a clear difference. You're taking things way out of proportion, but hey, if that's what you like to do, more power to you. If preserving the car is so important to you, send it to Honda to archive and display it, if not, you're gonna drive it, and depreciate the car. All in all, in 20 more years, you're gonna put over 100K miles on it, and it isn't gonna be worth more than it is now.
That's cool you can bring my Dad into this though, shows what kind of person you are. Re: Meet Gemma. 36,156 orginial miles.
btw, if an EF honda is going to be collectible in the future, it will be 89-91 Si's or 90-91 JDM SiR's etc, with super low miles..

So many people that are jelly in here.
Congrats on finding a really clean example of an aging chassis! Hope you can enjoy/preserve it for years to come.

Re: Meet Gemma. 36,156 orginial miles.
nevermind. jesus.
clipsed, you have your opinion, I have mine. good story. you clicked the link, all im saying.
wow to the EG with 3600 miles. I wont lie, ive never seen anything like that. ive seen 14,xxx on a 1993 vx, but man, 3600.
Im thrilled with what I have though. In pa, where theres 10 degree snowy salty winters, chances of hurricanes, and 100+ degree weather with 90% humidity sometimes in summer, im over joyed finding this.
sorry for my over enthusiasm in comparing it to a collector car of the future.

That's why I put it up....."Rob's" got some EF PRIIIDE thang goin on, DOESN'T EVAN See other Honda chasis....that's the most OEM freshest EH2 I've EVAR seen, AUTOTRAJIC and all....one CANNOT beat 3600 miles! That would be such a perfect car with a suspension and a JDM B18C R swap, and a auto to manual swap. I for one LOVE EH2's, I'm currently on my second!

Re: Meet Gemma. 36,156 orginial miles.
I dont give a **** if that EH2 has 1 km on it.. its not worth much. If it was a 5 spd Si, its a different story.
Some idiot will buy it to brag about 3600 miles, of course.. But it will never be new again, unless all rubber bushings, hoses, tires all plastics are replaced, not to mention the leaky gaskets, rusty muffler, and probably corroded radiator.
Lastly, the ebay seller has 1 rep... would you trust that ?

I swear there are some people on HT that I truly think type **** out without thinking about what they say. If you want to swap a car, ANY chassis will do it for you. Cars that are cherry low mileage and unmolested will have more value when they stay that way. Clearly people don't understand this or the fact that the model makes a huge difference in market value...
Take my example of a 67 Mustang Fastback, look at how much those go for compared to just a 67 coupe, there is a HUGE price margin. It's all about model and the fact that they are more scarce then the coupe.
