Hows my RC car look? I got bored haha
So I got bored! Thought I might make a Show Only body settup for my rc car haha. But what you guys think about the rims? I bought them as all chrome and I masked the lip off and painted them black. Think I should paint the nut black too?
The silver body is the show body and the black one is what I use when I run the car. Obviously, we can see that the black one is FUBAR. Lets just say I hit one too many bumps going literally 80 mph haha

Re: (Bat Country)
haha ..
I have heard from many people who actually race these cars that it does add downforce. because if you think about it, going about 60 - 80 mph on a light car like that would.
But trust me. If they had something smaller id deffinatly get it. But its the only think available as far as I know lol

That is killer. A buddy of mine has a couple, not that fast but close. I break it them al the time.
We actually got a new titanium sleeve, piston and rod for one of his bigger motors but the dude that made it did some wrong calcs and made it all too small.
Would have been cool to see what it would have done then though.

Re: Hows my RC car look? I got bored haha (CAN97SH)
like I said, im not going to run the car with the silver body on. I take my real car to car shows all the time so now im going to take the RC car and display it too with this body. but when I do run it, Im going to use the black one because its already beat up and I can use it at night with the head/tail lights.
But all together, it costed like $800.. Yeah its expensive, but when you have a dad thats into it too, it costs you nothing haha
I have heard of some people that take their cars that are pretty much just like mine to an 8th mile track and race real cars and beat em haha.

Re: (lude_si_95)
Actually top speed should be around 60 with the 2 speed and the RB(?) .12 motor. Unless you have a really tall gear, but then you would not get to 80 in 3sec. 1/8 carscar egt to 80, but they are super tuned.
Yes the wing does work. When i got my first RC i took the wing off, went to the track and could not keep it going throuh any corner. Some guy came up and told me to put a wing on, so i did and it made a hugh difference. I tried many different styles of wings, and they all had a different impact on the car.
Also justminor changes in tire compund, tire inserts, camber, caster, toe all make hug differences in these cars. I would of never believed any of this untill a fried took my car and set it all up. Once he did that i went and bought different tires and a full camber/toe board. I have spent many days just trying different settings just to get the car to run fast.

Re: (nickG)
no AWD haha
And with the speed, it really does get going fast because of the way this engine was built. Being a "turbo" engine it accelerates quickly. The top speed though, im not sure which is why you will probably hear me say 70 or 80 haha. But I have been told by many people that it should be going 80 with my settup. I dont know anyone with a radar gun and I dont want to race a real car to see how fast, but in any case, its a ****** fast little car haha

the only think I painted was the silver and the black. everything else is stickers haha. But it gave me 2 choices on the grill and that was by far the best looking one =/
But shoot. I wish I could paint that good lol

I'd love a nice RC car. Sadly though, I don't know anything about them and I don't think I'd like to spend that kind of money on one.
Where can I see prices or complete cars or kits or anything?

kits are for you to build (learn how it works, need to buy everything else since it only comes with the car it self, no motor)
rtr are ready to runs, already built with everything you need minus a few things
