How Much to Paint over bondo and over car
Ok well I'm looking at getting another white hatch 95 and it has like a little less than the size of a quarter rust on the left rear and then its starting to bubble on the other side about the same size. I'm going to put some body filler adn some rust proof stuff in it than sand it smooth adn then take it somewhere to get it painted. How much do you think it would cost to get it painted over the bondo and maybe a lite coat over the whole car????

You really need to section the part of the car with the rust. That means cut out the rusty metal and weld in new metal. Bondo is only a temporary fix and will accelerate the corrosion of your rear fenders. Price for the job is the price of some bondo and spraypaint, because if you have a pro do this you are wasting your money, due to how long it will take it to look like sh*t. I give it less than a year before you see rust again using the bondo technique.

Yeah i know my brother works at Brookside Chevrolet in Brookfield Wisconsin and he has done this before, and when i said bondo i just meant the whole finxing the rust ingeneral thing. I'm doing that welding the metal thing with my brother. Ok say that I already have had that done and my car just needs to be painted, how much would it cost to paint over the reworked body and then just 1 coat over the whole car???

if there is rust.. cut that out.. weld in a new panel.. if you are going to use bondo.. i say no.. if body filler at all i would say use blue ice.. that stuff is hella good.. bondo cracks very easy.. blue ice can withstand the heat and cold.. easier to mix and sand.. if you are going to just get that part painted, pay the extra grand to get a good paint job... don't go to stupid *** maaco either.. the gurls there can suck dick good but the company just primer, like one coat of base, and like one coat of clear.. nothing you would want.. later..

buy a gallon of paint.. gallon of primer.. 2 quarts of sealer.. all the hardeners etc.. everything will cost you about 600 for a real paint job minus labor.. go about 2-4 coats base.. 3-4 coats clear and you'll get show quality.. don't got like 20 coats clear.. it'll look nice but if it chips.. your going to have a big *** chip. hehe.. and filler.. no more than a cm..
