i got rotas because why pay 4x the cost of them for the real deal, when i can buy ones that look just as good, built well and pretty darn light for the price. I can use that money that i saved for other things, like better tires for example.

this is true, i always see civics and tegs /w slipstreams online BUT in person i've only seen a couple and personally only know one guy who has them on his civic. they're not played in virginia, yet.

Dont most of the people that buy honda's only do it to be with the so-called "In Crowd"... Most are just posers, they will never see a car show, drag strip, auto-x/road course or anything that really brings the fun out of cars...
As long as they can play the sidelines and tll everyone that they have a honda then there happy... More power to them though. I can careless anymore, Im going to do what i want to do for myself and not care what anyone thinks.

Im building my car for me, not for any ones opinion on it. But I do think its a waste of money to fix up your car just for bragging rights and not really put it to its full potential. Thats just me, do what you like.

Well I know I have just recently purchased some Rota's from a guy on this site for the fact they
A. Look a lot better than my stock rims
B. At 15"x6.5" they are way more functional than the 14"x5" I'm on now
C. I really couldn't afford the "JDM" rims I want due to wanting a better motor
D. Can't beat the price for a really functional rim and tire if you're budgeted

You cant compare Honda-Tech to the real world. I'v seen less than 5 people with Rotas here in Florida, and that was at an event.

I've been told there are 2 other cars in Daytona Beach with FB slips, I've yet to see them. But I don't think are any other Frost white Civic DXs with an OEM front lip, painted side skirts, painted front and rear caliper brakes and tinted windows with flat black Slipstreams on it.
I think no matter what you have on your Honda (Scooby, Toyota, Nissan, etc..) it's not going to be 100% like any other Honda (Scooby, Toyota, Nissan, etc..) out there on HT let alone in your own ******* city or state.

Some should worry less about other and more about coming off like a ******* moron on HT.

I intend to buy the new Rota Group-Ns, light never once factored into the equation, price efficient yes. If you chose to go out and spend 2k on wheels more power to you, by all means I am sure anyone on this forum could if they chose to, but who wants to foot the bill due to theft or damage. If I mistakenly took a curb too sharp and damaged a $500 wheel I would be kicking myself all day. $100 doesn't seem to bad, I'll be upset just not so with a more expensive wheel.
