Cicada Madness!!
Ok, so I come home from school and this is what my backyard looks like. These pictures are just from one small section of the 20foot x 20foot wooded area behind my house. Multiply the amount of Cicadas seen in these pictures by 100 and that's how many are actaully back there...it's insane!! Oh, and disregard my mildewed porch...it needs to be powerwashed
On with the pictures....
enjoy...

That's in MD. A couple of my friends around me have a bunch as well. BauleyCivic's yard is covered too. I have yet to go to Sander's house though (he lives in the ******* woods...I bet his place is COVERED). You know, people say you can eat these things

Yeah, that's a good solution....if I want to torch my entire back yard

I think it's primarily an east coast thing. I think Ohio gets it the worst, but I'm not positive.

Re: Cicada Madness!! (Kwayzie)
The noise isn't SOO bad. It will probably get worse. Most of them can't even fly yet. I saw a couple flying, but most of them are just chillin on bushes. When they can all fly, it's going to be hell. I might have to put my AC back in my car for fear of a cicada flying in my open window while driving...

yeah, they come out of little holes. it's ******* crazy, my backyard has tons of those damn holes. I think what happens is they lay their eggs up in the trees, they fall off and into the ground, 17 years later you get them coming out of the holes and starting the entire process over again. They only come out just to mate, and then they die. They are the most worthless bug in existence...
