I wanna see AMS build a track car, I think AMS needs to try and compete in American tongue 3 (regardless if its more for peoples entertainment). Yeah id like to see that, and what the drivers have to say about AMS's tuning. BUT they have to drive it from Chicago all the way to Willow Springs(the track I think they use). Not trailer it, only bringing a tool box and anything that can fit in the car, and the driver alone, while driving the entire trip on the same tires that they are going to compete on during the battle, through a Chicago winter. (HUGE RUN ON SENTENCE) If the car even makes the tip I call it a triumph.

Are you on drugs? Seriously.
AMS has built a number of non-drag track cars....and done so quite sucessfully.
For a few years now Car & Driver has put on an event called 'One Lap of America' in which cars compete in an event similar to your proposal, except on a much larger scale:
- 7 days
- 7 timed track events
- No trailers
- 2,000 miles
- street tires that have to be purchased from Tire Rack
AMS ended up near the top of the heap this year and last year....and I suspect they will have a strong showing again this coming year too.

One note before I sign-off.. We just stopped at a gas station for drinks and driver-swap on the Iowa/Illinois border and as I got out of the car a black mid-80s Camaro pulls up and the driver says, “Wanna Race?”
Martin with the AMS Evo “Yea,” I answer with sarcasm, “Let me just unhook the trailer and unload everything… on second thought, nevermind, if you want to race you need to come to Mid America tomorrow.”
‘Well what’s it run,” he asked.
“10.30s,” I answer. He stops, jaw kinda open. “You still want to race it,” I ask?
“No, this one only does 11.9, but my buddy has a Grand National that will do 9s..” he says.
“I think this car will do 11.9s with the trailer..” I said.</TD></TR></TABLE>
And just for good measure, pics of GSC Motorsports new Time Trial car that is replacing their supra:

Thank God, someone who does'nt have their head shoved up their *** and knows what they're talking about. I posted many pages ago that they have several shop cars that compete in different events. Whether or not the power is usable, AMS made a point by achievieng this. not once, but with several cars.
Useable power? I'm sure a Civic or an Integra with 400hp has no problem with getting traction right? Yet we see people w/turbo setups pushing the envelope and it's sooper dooper dope here.
for AMS.

a 400 hp civic is stupid for track racing, just like a 1000hp evo.
all i was sayin, was that car is good for a stright line on slicks or 100mph rolls. nothing more.
i watched ams race yesterday, they were holding it down in there class. its good to see a company moving away from strictly drag racing.
im sorry, i think 1000whp is pointless
OH and to the dude with m3's, u know as well as i do (i help my friend build his turbo'd 96 e36 m3) that too much power is pointless for a track, assuming thats why u didnt boost ur track m3?

The car was built for 100mph rolls.......against turbo liter bikes and big single turbo Supras. You'll never see the guy at the tracks.
Gotta love the haters in here that have no clue about anything else outside of Hondas.

def not hating, i have love for all cars, all my friends drive m3's, s4's, vetts, supras. i have only 2 good friends with hondas. i wish i had a vett, m3, or an sti/evo. i have mad love for any car entustias. and i do not think that hondas are better than anyting else. stright line fast takes money, track fast takes skill.

Actualy I got mine to 300 whp and it was to much for the car to handle on the track. It's rather fun on the highway playing with vettes and **** but completely useless at limerock.
I can honestly say I would be more impressed with **** like that if I never drove cars with that much power. Well I drove a 750hp vette. Really good for nothing except showing off. But yeah it's still impressive that they got that much out of such a small engine.

I'm just glad someone eventually brought up the One Lap of America car...
I did like it better when it had the enormous front splitter though haha.
