should i replace ignition if it is not wanting to take key?
My ignition is starting to become extremely sensitive to the key placement. Ive figured out the exact position to get the key to slide in but it is definitely sensitive. Ive resulted to leave a key in the ignition and locking the doors with another key. Do you think I need to replace it or fix a mechanical problem in the tumbler?

some locksmiths have success rebuilding sidewinder ignition switches. Do both keys you have perform the same way or is one key more "sensitive" than the other. If so a worn or damaged key may be at issue. If you replace your ignition switch you will then have 2 different keys(one for door and one for ignition) and you will need to have the ignition switch programmed to the vehicle by a dealer.

both keys act the same. There is definitely a problem in the tumbler and it has been brought to my attention that Im also a target for theft so leaving the keys in the ignition much longer is not smart.

No not very smart at all. Since both keys act the same way either have your ignition cyl rebuilt or buy another and have it rekeyed but keep all exisitng immobilizer compoonents to avoid reprogram. Or just get the dealer to replace and reprogram while your car is still driving avoiding tow fees,
