Oil Pan Gasket question

Oil Pan Gasket question
Hi, i'm new here and i was wondering about a question.
My gf has a 2003 Accord EX V6. I need to change the oil pan (because of local mechanic blunder of stripping the threads on the drain pan plug.) I have already ordered a new oil pan online. However i know that whenever you drop the pan, the oil pan gasket usually has to be replaced as well. But the wierd part is that no online part retailer seems to have the oil pan gasket for sale. They have it for the 4cyl version, but not the V6 version.
So my question is this....is there such a part available to solve my dillemma, or do i have to do it old school and use a RTV sealant and make my own gasket?
Any help or ideas would be helpful.

In a Junkyard near you.

It's worth a shot even though it's not recommended. You can use an over sized drain plug in an aluminum pan if you're careful with it. I've done it to a few cars and they're still doing great.

nah..it's okay. a long time ago i used to try to shortcut and take the easy way out on a lot of things, but it ended up costing me a lot more than just plain R&R work was worth. For me. if it aint the proper way...it's no way.

To MSChu...why do i hate messing with RTV sealant? because it gets all over the part when you mount it up to mating spots and when you can't seem to find the bolt holes when you put the sealant over the bolt. It always happens to me. especially when you do it in your own garage.

RTV is not easy, but it works very well. Just make sure you have a continuous bead, and that you go inside the bolt holes. You can't waste time either. The quicker you can get it all together, the better. You should have everything within reach and ready to go, before you start applying the RTV. Where I work, they have a habit of using a gasket + RTV, which doubles your fun.
