clutch pedal pressure goes from normal to an intense grip all of a sudden
very weird clutch issue
sometimes when i drive nowadays, the clutch pressure is very short but very intense when i'm trying to go off from 1st gear. sometimes i can't even put it into 1st gear, and when i can't, i can feel that the clutch pressure problem is going to occur. i'm still able to drive the car in 1st gear, but the engagement is veryyyyy short and intense, so then i usually stall the car bc it's random my car jumps forward due to the clutch gripping the flywheel so intensely. but then if i pump the clutch once or twice, the pressure goes back to normal. this has been happening lately out of nowhere. i have no clue wut the deal is. it happens out of nowhere, but sometimes i feel it happens more if i'm holding the clutch pedal down while i'm at idle before popping into 1st gear.
i was thinking MAYBE it's the clutch master cylinder, but i have nooo idea how that works

it would be the clutch master or clutch slave cylinder. the slave cyliner is about 30 dollars and the master is about 100 both easy installs. and its hard to tell which one is the problem but you should replace both and you will have a like new feeling clutch.

Its recommended if you're going to replace one of the two, you might as well replace both while ur at it. id do it.

Re: clutch pedal pressure goes from normal to an intense grip all of a sudden
the thing is, my clutch has only like 15k miles on it, and it's my second clutch. i do feel though that the repair shop didn't do a 100% good job on it, or i didn't break it in properly, since i had no first gear, i was driving off of second in the summer heat for about 1 week. also, i don't have a lift so it would be damn hard to install those two cylinders myself, dont' even know how to open up the clutch cover or anything, seems very difficult
