That's the thing with these new Hondas. On all mine for the last 20 years, there was no need to use the owner's manual. You just figure it out naturally.

With my (2014 Ody TE), there are still features, commands, and programing I still have not figure out. And it's been one year.

Do you think the 2016 Honda Accord Hybrid may have a somewhat different drivetrain or just remain the same? Larger Electric Engine for more torque for example? A turbo gas engine to re-burn some fuel? I did read from one of the google searches there may be some turbo option but not sure if that would be for the hybrid or not? Personally I do not want turbo period!! They just get too hot and become troublesome if you plan on keeping the vehicle for over 200k or more.

Consumer reports only managed 40mpg and not anywhere near the 48 average?

I am just going to wait for the 2016 just in case it has these additional improvements.

I have no interest in the Hybrid so I did really break it down. The Accord Hybrid is (was) currently made in Ohio (IIRC). Honda will shift production back to Japan. What is not crystal is....Ok, so not built in the USA. U.S production will end. Will Japan be making the U.S. model? Japan currently only make JDM right hand drive models. So...???

I could not wait until Next April for the 2016/17 Accord Hybrid so I bough t the 2015 touring model. I got it for $30,142. I added the Honda care 96/120K and The Protector Paint Shield since I have had nothing but the best luck with it for my 2012 and both 2013 Honda Civic EXL with Nav. I traded my 2013 for 13,100 with 53K miles a wash since my Honda Finance payoff was $13,083. This car is unreal and I am getting better gas mileage than what the EPA has posted if I drive like a grandma. . Averages 48 almost all the time if I drive normal and if I drive it no more than 60MPH I get close to 50/53mpg.

WAY!

My late 60's parents are frustrated with their 2015 Accord V6 touring with every option Honda puts on those.
My Mom in particular hates all the hidden menus and screens. She is about to set the damn car on fire
I drove it the other day to take them to the airport and I could not figure out how to use the Cruise control.... I pushed every button and just left it alone. sucks.

It feels heavy, and slow. They had a 2002 V6 which according to them felt a whole lot faster and nimbler.

I think these new accords are going to suffer the same rate of depreciation BMW and Mercedes get. Repairing these super tech loaded Hondas 10~15 years from now is going to be very expensive.

Even from an insurance point of view, on how they consider a car to be totaled.

DVD player does not work = Car Totaled. Junk it.

Come try to figure out my menus, if you want to see something bad.

Ross's father still hasn't figured out how to use the cruise control on his 2015 Subaru Outback, either.

So it's not just Honda.

I was checking out the HR-V a few weeks ago. In the EX-L Nav model, if you don't have the key fob, to turn on the electrical, both the upper and lower dash is blank. There are no buttons for audio and HVAC. Everything lights up one you press the button.

Otherwise, you think you step back in time during the 80s, when the radio was optional and had a black plastic cover over the area.

If that goes out, you get no music and no air. Or worst, stuck on max AC or heat. Knowing how things are interconnected, the mirrors probably won't work too.

Again, using the 2016 Pilot.

I checked the remote start and found no issues.

To put the car into on/pos II, yes you have to have the fob but you just press the "start button" without pressing the brake pedal.

Still haven't played with the paddle shifters but after getting a little over 1K miles on it...yes I had to do it.....put the right foot off in it...all I have to say is , The added few ponies and the AWD

I've figured out how to use the brake pedal to control the idle stop/engine shut off, so I still have that on for now.

2016 Honda Accord refresh adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto

Looks a bit lifted. True, we say that on all OEM cars, but the wheel gap looks wider than 9th Gen version 1.

Apple Carplay, finally.

I'm jealous of Carplay. Really. It'd solve so many problems.

Still learning the 2016 Pilot. Mot everything I want/need out of it I have learned/figured out.

It corners nothing like the 2007 Pilot I have, it sits lower and the body roll is so much less.....not sure how much the AWD helps as well.

I think later today I'll actually play with the paddle shifter(s). If I get that figured out.....corners will be even more fun

I do have an open claim with Honda, found what I'm calling a "design flaw". The dealership has already gave in and is willing to fix but I want Honda to weigh in and assure me (as best they can) that it will be the final fix and not something that I have to go back in "x" amount of time to have resolved again.

Are you talking about the specifics anywhere? I'm honestly curious.

Sometimes they just get something wrong. They thought that the North American purchasers of the RLX P-AWS cars would like the "sharp" and "aggressive" suspension settings, but the hue and cry led to a redesign of the dampers and springs used on the 2016 model year, just to soften it up and make it quieter.

Mine is a little more than that:

2016 Pilot - Paint Defect - Honda Accord Forum - Honda Accord Enthusiast Forums

It wasn't there when I bought it......trust me I don't pay that much for something and not give it an inspection....after about three weeks I noticed the issue.
