07 Accord V6 Timing Belt
I have found a few posts on this by searching, but looking for any input on whether getting one of the Timing belt kits from Advance Auto would be ok. They are on sale at the moment and could pick one up for 144.00
CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Belt Water Pump Kit without Seals WP329K1A: Advance Auto Parts
Or I could picemeal it togather but more expensive with the following
Honda timing belt $21 (Ebay)
Aisin tensioner $60 (Rock Auto)
Koyo tensioner pulley $40 (partsgeek)
Koyo idler pulley $25 (partsgeek)
Aisin water pump $70 (Rock Auto)

Re: 07 Accord V6 Timing Belt
IMHO a kit is usally a good way to go. There are some "honda kits" you might find on e-bay - gates offers a kit as well that you might find on rockauto or other places.
Depending on where you live - the "carquest by dayco" kit might actually be a gates kit. Advance bought out carquest and just recently the carquest kits (gates) were re-labeled to dayco.
If you are going to DIY - I suggest that before you remove the old belt from the engine, make some marks on the belt and then the gear it is on (both cams and then the crank). When you remove the belt, transfer those marks (count the number of teeth between marks) from the old belt to the new one. The marks on the new belt should line up with the marks on the gears.
That will give you two things. One you know the new belt is back on in the same place as the old. Second - the cam gear(s) on the V6's will sometimes "move" when the old belt is removed - so you will again know what gear to move which way so that the marks line up.
.....I have to be careful - there is a new Mod on here that might kick my rear if I don't be clear on things

Lostagain
Thanks for the detailed response. Iam in MN. Do you think the sales guy will know the answer? Anything in particular I should ask them when validating it's a Gates?

Personally, I will not buy Dayco anything again. Their serpentine belts are definitely not Gates. I would go with OEM parts only.

Re: 07 Accord V6 Timing Belt
Find the "Aisin" kit on-line and buy with confidence it A) has everything you need and B) is OEM. I bought it a few years back for $200 shipped, the whole kit.
You'll see when you pull the old water pump off it will say Aisin right on it.
Rent the crank pulley tool to get that off (Most auto parts stores charge you for it, and give you your money back when you return it), and have lots of extensions. That crank pulley bolt is the biggest bitch of the whole job.
Oh, and if you haven't already, get the book, follow it closely.

Will 1 gallon of the Honda Type 2 coolant be enough if I am replacing my water pump?

Get two gallons of coolant. The coolant is only $15 from Bernardi Honda online, but the shipping costs might negate the savings if Amazon has free shipping.

Just shy of 2 gallons....the Honda fluid is "premixed 50/50".
Again, just me but I can drive to my local CARQUEST store and buy the Honda Coolant for ~$20 ($19.99) you decide...I'm using the invoice from where I bought some a while back....call them and ask for a quote on part number OL999-9011
