04 Accord noise coming from rear wheel when coming to stop
its not your typical grinding or rubbing that you get when your brake pads are worn. only happens when coming to a stop. it almost sounds like a spring might sound when being compressed. what do faulty struts sound like? shocks? sway bar? stuck caliper?
sorry i don't have a better description of the sound...its hard to explain..i just know its different than what i am used to when my brakes need replacing (also rear pads and rotors replaced only 7 months ago).
thanks for any help!

Do you have drum brakes in the rear, or disk? A wheel cylinder or caliper could be leaking on the pads/shoes, causing them to stick and jump when coming to a stop.

it's possible your sway bar mounting points need to be lubed up. eventually the bushing gets dried out and it's rubber against metal and it has a squeeky sound that some might confuse with a shock.

If it only happens when you are on the brakes, you might have warped rear rotors and either the pins or pads are moving back and forth causing a noise. Did you use OEM pads?Aftermarket pads are one of the things that cause warped rotors. Check the pin boots. If they are damaged, your pins will always be a problem.
Lube those bushings like MSchu said, lube is free.
Hope you figure it out.
