Default WTF!?!?! Transmission issues

So I am having serious issues with my car . What happened is I woke up drove car for aprox 10-15 mins ran fine. No growling out of the tranny no slipping nothing out of the ordinary. 3 hours later came out started car let it warm up and put it into reverse and got no engagement!?>? not in any of the gears....checked fluid fine, checked axels fine, checked shift linkage fine.......started working on it today and I noticed something (i can shift through all 5 gears w/out clutch) when I engage a gear the SPEDO jumps to 20mph(the car aint moving) 1st-4th but when I engage 5th it jumps to 35mph!?!?!?!? Also when I hit the accelerator the SPEDO jumps accordingly to the tach...for example if I rev the motor to 4500 rpms the SPEDO say 45mph!?!?!? 6000 rpms 60mphs! I did this numorously so it seemed consistant...also I hear a quiet whiney klicky sound coming from the tranny while its engaged? i dunno I stumped any outside input would be appriciated

hmnn sounds like the release bearing is ceased....or the forks bent...probably not allowing the clutch to properly engage....might be time for a new clutch kit.

If the speedometer is responding directly but the car's not moving, I'd check the axles again. Look for torn out splines on either end of the axles.

If they're broken at the outboard end, the axle will actually spin but it won't spin the wheel. If they're broken at the inboard end, you won't see anything move.

Or maybe your differential is broken.

The differential body must be turning, because the VSS is picking that up & the speedometer is displaying it.

I checked the axels again they looked fine...both are relatively new(5 months passanger 12-16 months driver side) the clutch is an ACT street comp clurtch nad is fairly new also..I had no problems with the clutch although occasionaly when I would take my time shifting the cars would jump 300ish rpms the desend back to normal idle.. to illiustrate I'd shift from 2nd to 3rd. I would shift in 2nd at 3000 rpms and with my foot on the clutch it would jump to 3300 or 3500(depending on wether it was hot or cold?) and then idle back down???? I'm just throwing this out here to see if it has anythign to do with it?? it did happen occasionaly 1-10 times a week. My friend suggested a throw out bearing? any more help would be appriciated....fixing this tranny is taking away from my turbo build and that's not cool

Thanks

remove your both axles - then re_insert it, make sure its all the way IN (some times they don't go all the way) you will hear little click sound - when you put them in all the way...

now be sure to tight your axle nut to 181-LB use a torque wrench....
