Default Vibration at idle

I have a 1988 Honda Accord Lxi. I had some steering wheel vibration at idle esp when in drive. I was told by friends to change the motor mount. So I replaced both front and rear motor mount( The old one looks good though) Now the vibration got worst and car shakes violently at idle in drive. A little gas and vibes go away. What could this be?

Also recently noticed something strange. When all electric things are on like head lights, coolig fan, blower and if I press on brake lights or try to lock the door, the idle speed drops by about 100 to 150 rpm and the car shakes violently.
The car runs like a charm when its at 10 mph or more.

I am confused. Please help

Check your idle. An easy ghetto way to fix is to bump yur idle speed up until it stops.

Thanks for a prompt reply. Well I did increase the idle spped a bit but I still get quite a bit of vibes. Also The drop in idle speed under electrical load is annoying. Any thoughts. Please I am really desperate. I just spent about 1200 bucks on this car. Everything else is so good even at 148k miles.

Thanks again.

My car does the same thing... how do you clean your Throttle Body? and also? would a ground wire kit stop the idle drops when door locks and head lights etc... are activated.

THe drop in electrical load is normal during idle... Hell, i own a 2002 that does it when the fan, the radio and daylights are on...

The grounding kit won't help with this problem. To clean your TB, spray some TB safe cleaner and work the butterflys back and forth. Be careful to catch all that gunk on some paper towel or something. After everything is clean, start the car and check for air leaks.
