On the transmission says m2j5 or m2a4 whats the difference in trans

m2a4 JDM Prelude Transmission NON-Limited Slip Differential

that's all I was able to turn up for ya. I don't have anything that says anything about the m2j5.

As for the specs of the m2a4...

1ST Gear 3.307
2ND Gear 1.950
3RD Gear 1.360
4TH Gear 1.071
5TH Gear 0.870
REVERSE 3.00
FINAL DRIVE 4.266

those ratios are from a 4th gen usdm prelude. The jdm tranny has 1.03 4th and .78 5th

thre is an m2l5 that is an f22 tranny from a 92-96 prelude S model. never heard of or seen an m2j5 though.
