Default too much engie oil?

I had my mechanic change my oil the otherday and he did. I checked the oil to see how clean it was after the change and it was clean, the only thing wrong was that the oil level looked like a tad bit over the limit on the dipstick.
I also went under my car earlier to look at the headers and put my hand in their (I'm not sure exactly but it was under the car near the Flange area) and I got some dirty oil and like a drop of new clean oil? Should I really worry?

-Thanks

How can you tell if the oil is old or new especially if under the car??? How much is a little? And if u want to check if your leaking oil take a towel and wipe where u said had oil and check in a week or so and see if any new oil develops in the area.

It always seems like I have too much oil no matter what I do. I Checked it yesterday and it was slightly low, I added the slightest little bit, now I went outside and checked it after its been sitting for a while and not it says there is too much. When is the best time to check The oil, I usually do it after its been sitting for at least a couple of hours

if there is too much oil chances are it will blow out
from a weak gasket or near the oil filter

that's extreme cases. as long as you're near the line you're fine. check your oil when the car is on flat, level ground, at least 5 minutes after it's shut off. (so the oil has time to drip down into the pan...otherwise you get an inaccurate reading) and a tiny bit below or above the line is no big deal as long as it's not huge

as long as it is just a little over the full line it will be fine...if it is alot above the full line it can be very bad!
