i have a 95 accord sometimes it happends n sometimes its all good but when i shift to reverse it doesnt let me i let go of the clutch pedal n try like 3 times so the shifter could engage can this be a clutch disk slipping or the gears wearing down?

Change your fluid regularly and row the shifter through the gears before going into reverse. If you search you will find out that it's due to how the reverse gear is designed (no synchros and not helical)

My '97 does EXACTLY the same thing.. Other honda people told me to just get used to it..

I heard the Amsoil GM Syncromesh might help solve the problem by smoother shifting.

It will not solve the reverse gear for the two reasons I listed. Changing the fluid will help but not correct it.

ok well i change it a couple months ago, every what should i change the trans fluid? n what oil u recommend using? i use royal purple for manual trans.

I had similar problem with my '92 Accord until I switched to the OEM Honda MTF. Much better now.

I just got my Accord and haven't had a chance to anything to her just yet.
I thnk after the Holiday weekend I'll go through her changing all the fluids and cleaning that clogged AC condensation tube...

Honda MTF (from Honda dealer) or GM Synchromesh (from GM dealer)

Do the drain and refill method and I tried to do it once every 3 oil changes.
