Roaring sound from rear right of car.

Roaring sound from rear right of car.
I am stumped and so are some of the mechanics I've taken this car to. I came here to see if someone could help.
I have a 2002 Honda Accord. It has a low roaring sound coming from the rear of the car. I've taken it to some mechanics and they say it might be a wheel bearing, but have been too busy to put it on the lift/jack/etc. Got someone to finally look at it, and they say the wheel bearings look fine. They even drove the car with me in it and tried to turn it left and right to see if the sound would change, and it never did.
So apparently they are stumped and so am I. What could this be? Any ideas??

did they actually take of the tire/hub to chk the wheel bearing, i had a 98 accord that made a roaring noise an turned out to be the wheel bearing front right to be exact.

Well, finally took it to someone that knows what they are talking about. They got it on the lift, spun each tire individually, and only heard the sound from the right rear. Ended up replacing the rear hub assy. About $270.00 to fix. Would have attempted it myself, but I've never changed one before and they have a warranty on work. Thanks for the replies.

It's definitely a rear wheel bearing.
Turn the car to the left or right to verify, it will get louder as the body leaned to the bad bearing as the whole body weight shifts to one side putting pressure on it.

Re: Roaring sound from rear right of car.
easy job!
the reason mine failed is the past owner didn't torque it down to the right ft.lbs... thus, it wasn't pre-loaded & the outer bearing spun dry first
for future reference:
the back is 32mm spindle nut size (similar to 1 1/4")
torqued to 134 ft.lbs & staked the nut so it won't spin out
------------------------------------------------------------
the front axle nut is 36mm
