removeing wheel bearings
im helping my friend do his wheel bearings and were haveing trouble removeing the bearing assy. any ideas on how te r&r the bearing what type of tool to use.

What car? On my 96 Accord, there was 4 bolts in the back holding the wheel bearing in. Then we pop it out of the steering knuckle. Then I went to my HS auto shop and got the hub pressed out of the bearing. Including the race.

This is about a little different thing - replacing front brake rotors, but you can use it to see how to remove the bearing assembly from the knuckle. I personally used this way to replace front rotors on my 91 Accord and it worked. I removed the knuckle completely and used a regular hammer tapping the bolts crosswise.
I also removed the bearing assembly on my 96 Accord to replace bearing, but I still had to take it to a local machine shop to press out the hub and press it into a new bearing assembly.
