Install a high performance one...otherwise you will not pass emissions (visual inspection) NTM releasing smog in the air.

don't remove your cat on that car, for 1 it would be loud as hell. 2 your car would probaly run like ****, you ned a certain amount of backpressure and the cat is what is the cause of the back pressure you have now. It is the biggest restriction in the system.

its not gonna do anything really for you, but you will shoot flames for a few weeks......
if ur lazy and want something to do, just gut it....then u can be the cancer fairy and give everyone you know lung cancer!!!
its kinda just something stupid and pointless on a street car (like everyone said), but its just something u can **** around with (for lack of a batter word) in teh same way (like the $25 OEM Honda Polished oil filler cap that i bought on Ebay....but in defense, mine isnt sealing right)

What year is you car?? Because if it is 95+ your OBD2 computer is doing to thow a code. I say leave you cat on. It does not make that much of a differents, unless your running alot of nos or alot of turbo.

If you want to free things up, get a high flow cat....but as said, please don't run w/o a cat...bad for the environment.
