Default Quirks and other odd issues to watch for

Noob here, bought a 92 accord LX A/T 164k miles a little over a year ago and have been learning some of the oddities of owning a 20 year old accord.

So far I've had to fix these issues:

1. Hard or no start when warm or warm weather. Fix: New main relay

2. Ticky Valves. Fix: Valve adjustment(note: valves still tick when cold, but goes away quicker than before and the ticking is softer.)

3. Leaking oil. Fix: ALL new seals (shafts, oil pan, valve cover, spark plug tubes, distributor seal) with exception of head gasket. (did timing belt and water pump while it was torn apart as well)

4. Sudden misfiring in hot weather. Fix: New distributor and ignition coil (changed plugs and wires while into it as well)

5. Replaced broken front motor mount.

So now there's the a couple issues I haven't been able to figure out. It has a somewhat rough idle, I've cleaned the IACV, all mounts are in good order, timing is perfect, plugs, wires and cap are all good. All the usual tuning has been done

Had a mechanic tell me that these old accords always had some vibration at idle. Is this true?

Next issue is there is no D4 light when in D4. Drives just fine, goes through all the gears and torque converter locks up at high speed as it should. Only thing I think is odd is it shifts kinda rough, nothing severe, but its no cadillac. Had it flushed last year with little improvement. Had a mechanic tell me hondas just start to shift hard whe they get old. This can't be true, can it?

Any heads up on other issues to watch for would be much appreciated. Thanks!

the d4 light is nothing to worry about, the same light went in mine, could be the little bulb is gone, or a bad connection, maybe (sounds harsh) give the dash above the cluster a decent pound, and it could come on again haha

the transmission....well the shifting may get a bit harder as you go, but just keep it maintained and it wont just die on you randomly

Thanks KD, this is pretty much what I figured it was. Then, while browsing the forums I heard of people having issues with solinoids and what not when the D4 light went out, got me kinda worried there may be more to it.
