Default problem with my power lock

i have a problem w/ one of my locks where every time i automaticly lock it, it makes a loud buzzing sound, the lock locs and unlock but i cant get that sound to go away. how do i make it stop screeching?

Most Accords seem to have that problem. Mine still does! It's the door lock regulator inside the door, and needs to be replaced. I tried to take it to where I got my alarm installed to see if they could fix it, but they said no. I think your local Honda dealership should be able to help you.

you could always just take that part out and replace it with an aftermarket actuator

did it on my bros 5th gen that had the same problem. this is a very common problem i hear

It's easy and you can do it yourself. It's your door lock actuator. Buy a HONDA one. The aftermarket ones are not good.

i went to the honda dealership today and they told me taht part and service is 220 all together so i just bought the part.

Good thing you bought the part only. I changed out the actuator on my driver door about a week ago. Mine was doing the exact same thing.

It's not too hard to change. It's awkward though and the rear window track was in my way.

why a honda one? i just went with a aftermarket one and its fine. and its only 10 bucks for the actuator too

My power switch on my '90 quit working, I can lock the doors by hand but not with the button, any ideas
