Power windows suck! arrgggg!
Hi all, new here with a Power window problem.
OK, so I have a 96 Accord LX 4dr.
I was told to replace the master switch and that would solve my window operating problems.
Well it didn't.
Heres the deal. All the power window regulators work. The pass side front window will go down from its own switch, but not back up. The master switch won't operate the pass front window at all. The drivers and pass rear windows won't respond to the new master switch either. But....sometimes they do.
Its like I have window gremlins or something.
So.......where do I begin?
Anyone else have this issue?
I was told that perhaps its a bad ground someplace.
Someone also told me that it could be a bad window control module(i dont think it has one).
Anyway, I really appreciate the suggestions from you all. Thanks in advance.

Had a similar issue, BUT my passenger door came from a junk yard. Had issues with the passenger window and speaker. So, I removed the plastic electrical connector at the door jamb and soldered all the wires together. No more problems.
You have a bad connection somewhere, these gremlins are hard to sort. Test each point in the system and trace it back. You might just have a bad connection at the master. Clean it real good, and apply some of that electrical grease. When testing hold the connectors together really hard and see it that makes it any better.

I'm thinking a bad ground somewhere near the master switch. Not sure though. Electrical stuff really bugs me. Other then that its a great car. I'm getting the timing belt replaced tomorrow, maybe I'll have the tech see if he can find something. They specialize in electrical stuff as well.
