Offset and width of stock '98 Accord 15" wheels??
I have a '98 Accord EX Sedan V6 with the stock 15" 5-lug, 5-spoke wheels and 205-65-15 tires. Can anyone tell me where I can find the stock offset and width of these wheels? I want to go to a 16x7 or possibly a 17x7 wheel with a 215 width tire and avoid wheel housing interference while at the same time not having the tires protrude from the wheel wheel and through rocks, etc on the doors and quarter panel. Thanks! Kent

ok, I know there are 2 sites that I've looked on before that has diameter, width, lug pattern, offset, weight, ect on probably thousands of rims. But after about 15 minutes of searching H-T and using Google I can't seem to find either one. Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about and has a link they can post for you.
edit:
in the meantime, the offset should be listed somewhere on the rim. On my 95 Accord EX rims the dimensions of the wheel was stamped on the face of the rims under the center caps between the lug nuts. On my 92 Prelude Si rims the wheel dimensions where stamped about 1 inch away from the lip of the rim. Both could be easily seen with the rim still on the car, just had to remove the center cap on the 95 EX rim. Try looking on your rim for the dimensions.

it's 6.5" wide and the offset maybe 50 or 55. take a wheel off and it will be stamped on the back of the wheel face. generally, 7" wide rims should start at 45 while 8s at 50 for the least amount of issues. 225 tires most likely.

Many thanks for the information. I didn't realize the wheels were stamped with this information, but sure enough they are! 15" x 6.5" x 55mm in case anyone else is interested. Also, I found an EXCELLENT wheel/tire fitment computer at:
http://www.rims-n-tires.com. I'll make a separate posting of this information. Thanks again! Kent
