Default OBD1 F22 VTEC Distributor problem!

Well...I put my Dizzy in 180 degrees out, and tried to start the car and broke off the ears on the part that engages the cam.

Does anyone know of this part from another Honda distributor will work?

I was told by someone that this part can be purchased separately from a dealer. But, I called and it can't.

Any help would be appreciated, guys!

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can purchase it separately. Just buy a junk dizzy and swap in your broken dizzy's internals.

Then why is it when I called a dealership, they said they couldn't get it seperately?

Anyone happen to have access to something to look up a part number?

that gear is the same on most hondas just go to the junk yard like U-pull it and bring your old one with and match it...just make sure you mark the shaft and gear with somthing so you don't install it 180 off!

That's where you're wrong I HAVE a junk D-Series dizzy....and the gear is different on those. Just a note for the future.

BUT...I went to a self-service lot...and got another one.

They might not be too happy when they see I pulled that thing off the distributor...hehe

Oh well....probably the next person needing a dizzy will probably already have that gear.
