New guy with a 94 ex auto looking for advice
I just got my accord yesterday and I'm kind of in a pinch. it needs a oil pan (and gasket) and exhaust from the manifold back to pass inspection. I have 14 days to get it to pass inspection and this is my big issue.
my mechanic says to change the oil pan hes going to pull the header and a support bracket to change that and the exhaust is just rusted and rotted.
so can someone show me a list of possible headers/full exhausts that are 'budget friendly'
I keep seeing people say megan headers but seems they blow gaskets often? I read obx's are junk and a bisimoto is out of my price range for now. so what options are left or suggested?
now onto the exhaust, I'm sure I'll be shooting myself in the foot asking this, but is this exhaust good? http://tasauto.com/Product/Detail.as...0094&d=307&p=1 does anyone have it or recommend it? I'd like to stick around 2.25" piping and not 2.5" only cause the cars never going to be FI or have serious mods its just a nice daily to drive.
finally where the heck can I get a new oil pan besides dealer?

Oil pan question, have you looked for/at Dorman products. If you are really on a budget? then think about a stock manifold from a bone yard...get time to save up and reasearch for what you really want or need......have the end game in mind before buying performance products.

Ditto! Hit up salvage yards and craigs list if ur really on a budget. But if ya dont care you can always use a DC sports header, and hit up Jegs or Summit! They've always got deals on stuff n most of their prices are lower than the parts house. Just do sum lookin round man. I would def hit up the salvage yards, cuz u never kno what u may find out there. Heck ya might find a $1200 dollar header for 50 bux. Ya just never kno.

Local yards won't have exhaust manifolds they take them with the engines. Exhaust would be worthless since they just hack out the cats and the rest will be rusted from typical salty winters

Hell, here If we get to em b4 they have to pull the engine, we can get what ever we want. I know one place here buys more of what like to buy so we get a better selection.
