Map sensor?? f22b sohc to DOHC
I have a 94 accord and I am removing the f22b sohc and putting in a f22b dohc...
The sohc has a map sensor on top of the air intake next to the throttle position sensor..
I have not found the map sensor for the DOHC.. and one know where the map sensor might be hiding?
have I over looked it?
Thanks Ron

you need a map sensor from a honda prelude (not sure all the years that will work), but I got mine from a 92-96 Prelude when I did my H23 swap

The map sensor you have for your SOHC will work. They are the same part.
I believe that the F22B DOHC uses the same setup as the older Accords/Preludes. It wasn't attached directly to the throttle body or intake manifold. They used a Vacuum control box mounted to the fire wall with all of the vacuum lines running into it and the MAP and other vacuum controlled sensors were inside that.
If you don't want to have to find and buy that old black box stuff you could try to mount your existing MAP somewhere on the manifold/firewall. Or you could just plug in the electrical connector and a vacuum line and let it swing free. All the MAP needs is a vacuum line from the intake plenum and a connection to the ECU.

unknown sensor?? f22b sohc to dohc
OK,, great that is what I did, MAP problem fixed.. Thanks!!
Do you have any idea what the sensor is that is in front about the middle of the air intake manifold just behind the 2nd and 3rd injectors? it has a two wire connection inside the connector..
I am out of connectors on my sohc wiring harness.
Can I leave it open or do I need to wire it in, what ever it is????

If you had the F22B1 VTEC then the sensor your looking for is actually the Fuel Injection Air Control Solenoid, aka FIA. You do not need to hook it up if your not using the F22B1 intake manifold.

Re: unknown sensor?? f22b sohc to dohc (GhostAccord)
Ghost Accord, Thanks you are very helpful..
to make sure we are on the same page here..
I have put a f22b dohc non vtec in a 94 accord that had a f22b sohc non vtec.
I am using the sohc wiring harness that does not have the connection to fit on the FIA. The engine I am useing does have the solenoid (but the harness does not have the connection for it).
Does the solenoid it self need to be connected?? If so do you have an idea how to wire it or what to wire it to??
Thank you!!?

Ok...then the F22B DOHC uses the FIA as well, I wasn't sure if it did or not. You can get rid of it and plug up the vacuum fitting on the intake manifold. It won't cause you any problems as long as you plug the fittings.
