Last Question, Car Hesitates While Accelerating Slow. Any Ideas??
Reason why I say last question is because I'm selling the car, got the signs up on it and everything but I just wanna know what this problem is. It's a 94 Accord EX Vtec, auto, new engine with 83,000 miles on it. My check engine light was on, pulled the codes and got the o2 sensor. I got that changed but the check engine light is still on and the mechanic couldnt figure out what it was. What happens is when I accelerate slowly, there is a hesitation like the car wont really move unless I give it alot of gas and then it will move perfectly fine. It's only on slow acceleration. Any ideas on what this could be?? Thanks

I'd be willing to bet that the EGR ports are clogged. I had this service done by my local dealership, and it was less than 100$ (like 87 and change).
I had it at a local mechanic, who insisited it was plugs and wires. When he turned it out after the change, he didn't notice the hesitation, because he hammered on it, rather than slowly accelerating. (1800-2800 RPM range was my trouble zone). He also ran it cold, before the EGR ports really opened up.
After he did his plug and wire change, I took it back, because he had the wrong wires on. After he couldn't figure it out (and I told him, the Honda service tech said to check the EGR ports) he wanted to put a distributor in it. That's when it went to the dealership.
Bottom line, if the mechanic starts dragging around just thinking of things to replace, spend the extra cash,a nd go to the dealer. Everytime I've had a Honda there, they get it right the first time.

could be the cat is clogged as well, i totally destroyed my cat and it will not pass 50 mph no matter how hard i punch the gas.
