Default j30a1 vs j32a2

will a j32a2 be a direct bolt in on a 2001 accord that already has a v6? if not where can i find info on doing the cams and intake swap from a j32a2 into my j30a1 i found a CLS motor for $500 and id rather do that instead of tearing the heads apart

Cheapest price I found on the cams alone was $260 shipped from Majestic Honda (google search) brand new. I'd buy the motor whole if I were you. That way, you could use the heads, TB, and cams, which will cost you WAY more than $500 if bought new (and probably used in a lot of situations). Albeit I'm a newb here and don't know much about the specifics of this swap, but those things will directly bolt on and they aren't cheap new.

I think the J30a1 tranny will bolt directly up to the J32a2, so if you just wanted to use the whole motor, you would need the CL-S ECU and not sure about the motor mount locations.

Anyone more experienced care to verify/shoot down the info in this post?

It's a relatively straight forward process as far as hardware goes... It should bolt right up, but the ECU is something you will need to pick up. I'd also recommend ditching the automatic transmission because it can't even handle the stock power.

Register with www.v6performance.net and do a search for all your swapping needs with that motor and transmission combo.

Make sure the tranny is actually different. If I understand correctly, some TLs and Odysseys use the exact same tranny that's in your car. Make sure the CL auto isn't included in this list before swapping oranges for oranges.

Yup, make sure it's from a 2003 6 speed if you're going to swap in a manual transmission.

All automatic '01-03 3.2CLs used a 5-speed transmission, similar to the one found in '00+ TLs, '02+ Odysseys, '03+ Accords, etc.

The '98-02 Accord V6 trans was a 4-speed automatic, similar to the one found in '97-99 3.0CLs, '99 3.2TLs, and '99-01 Odysseys.
