I would just keep the filter that comes with the AEM intake. I believe it's a K&N. I'm not sure though.

The dimensions and measurements are what make an intake effective, not what name is stickered onto the piping....butt dynos are something one should not refer to for information on a product.

thats how supposedly the v2 is diff. it has two chambers for the air to go in or something. but before it even gets to the bends its sucked through the filter

i think between every intake there is still a difference. my old akimoto intake was 3 inch and the throttle response jumped from 3 to about 5k-redline. but my aem intake (2.5 inch) is a lot smoother and just climbs steadily from 3 to redline. There are differences, but for the most part those guys are right... its quite minimal. The biggest difference I felt was just the smoothness/transition during WOT.

WOT - Wide Open Throttle which means the gas pedal is to the floor.

yeah there are differences but we are talking just a few ponies here. what does it matter if you have 123 whp or 125? its still a terd. i do agree though most intake systems do differ

a'pexi filters let in soooo much air, but i wouldnt recomend for a CAI, cause they dont filter too well (not designed for daily driver application)
