battery light on
last night my 95 accord lx manual trans battery light on, i ask a friend what was going on and he told me to check the alternator by disconnecting the positive cable and if it shuts off then its the alternator so it did, today we replaced it and the light went away but now my problem is that power steering overflowed we did mode the ps reservoir out of the way can the o-ring be bad or did it caught air??

You can blow an alternator by troubleshooting like this, under no-load conditions the voltage gets very high.
Regarding Power Steering, obviously something did not go back together correctly. As far as I know air will work its way out of PS lines naturally. Did the "O" ring drop out, or was it abraded during the work? Is there debris on the seal or the seat?

Now i need to get another alternator because this one is bad it makes a weird noise(eeeee) and its 80 amps, looks smaller than the stock one, when i operated my windows it dims my brake light and no seat belt light and lowers my idle, is this normal?
how many amp is the stock alternator on the honda's?
