Use a breaker bar to pry it out.

not good to hit the brake booster, i thought theres only bolts to the master cylinder. i would pry it off or hit the metal with a hammer to loosen the rust, muscle the master cylinder off if both nuts are off with your hands in a pulling direction.

changed mine last night. Didn't have problems getting it off, but I could see where that would happen since the old brake fluid that was leaking make a small rusty mess. Be sure to bench bleed that thing before you put it on. I made that mistake and had to take it back off.

Yes, I advise you to take the exhaust pipe off. The pan has to come down quite a bit before you can remove it, so the pipe is definitely in the way. Just a tip here.... Clean the pan gasket surface off real good, then use Hondabond (gasket sealant) to hold the gasket to the pan before trying to put it back on the engine. Good luck, and have fun.

PS: You may want to spray some PB Blaster on those exhaust bolts ahead of time, so it can soak in. Sounds like you have a lot of rust.
