Default Help, car won't start

My car won't start unless i hold the cable going from the battery to the fuse box. It has to be lifted up and pushed to the right while another person turns the key. I had my alternator checked recently so i know it's good and the battery is a couple months old. I just can't figure out what's wrong.

it goes from the fuse box directly to the battery, i have to play with the cable 3-4 inches from the fuse box.

Well then the cable is internally messed up. Just replace the cable.
