Default H23(non-vtec) Question

Would a H23(non vtec) be a good motor to turbo with stock internals????

id do a h23 head swap. Read the h23/f23 hybrid thread in the accord faq. The f22/23 blocks are iron sleeved, so you can swap any pistion in there w/o having to resleeve.

And i belive if you use the f22 block youll loose compression, and your CR will be a out 8.6:1. And would be great for boosting up to 10-12 lbs with the stock internals. But you should consider using aftermarket pistions since the h/f series rinlands in the pistions are notorious for blowing out and cracking.

Pm me if you have any questions. I also have a h23 head forsale and almost everything needed to swap it onto a f series block.

as long as the engine is in good health prior to boost and it is tuned properly, it will be fine.

this is what i want to do my car next.... i still have my F23a block (there's a red top H22A in it now with bolt ons.... i didnt know about the h23 head swap back then, you guys think the 14b from a DSM - F23a bottom end+ h23 head would make a good boost combo?

Why would you want to do a swap like that when you allready have a mad JDM 220hp "red top" H22A-S under the hood of your ride? Add some cams higher compression pistons to that H22A and you're good to go with a reliable N/A setup.

Definitely a Sig worthy quote The sound of a BOV is more addictive than crack. Hey, that sounds Sig worthy as well

exactly... if you looked at my link to my car pics..
you'll notice i had two DSM's in the past, a AWD turbo and FWD turbo (white), and i still have the entire 14b turbo setup from the white car in my garage.... i want to put it to use...and its SOOOO nice not to have to downshift to pass people (not that i really have to now... but i just love, stepping on it in fifth, and hearing nothing but turbo spool as i sucks you back to the seat and you sail past the car and they're thinkin what the hell was that noise...
