Currently i've got a B16a2 in my ek and i want to do an H2B swap. I have a built H23a1 block with the stock H23a1 head out of a 96 prelude SI. It seems that everybody prefers the H22 and there's a lot of talk about the H23 VTEC. So the question is, should i get an H22a for the swap, put an H22 head on my H23 block, buy an H23 VTEC or just use the H23 i already have? Also, is there going to be much of a difference in these options if i also plan to boost? im looking to get no more than 500hp after boosting. I also don't want to blow a ton of money so keep that in mind. All opinions are appreciated.

There is also the F20B, F22A, and F23A.

Do your own research and choose which engine will best fit your needs.

JDM F20B is my personal preference. Seen it done and it's killer in a lighter car.
