good Speakers for Accord
hey, i realized the other day that my 94 Accord LX has space for 6x9" rear speakers, but instead there's factory paper 6 1/2"s in there with spacers. I'm going to take them out, but what brand 6x9s are would sound good do u think? (cd deck is Kenwood, with Kenwood 6 1/2 speakers in the front)

I myself do not like rear speakers at all, I would just take them out completely and put a sub in your trunk. That is what is done in mine, and with the rear speakers removed it allows the sub to play louder because there are two nice sized holes in your rear deck for the sound to play through. When I removed them my SPL increased from 129.2db to 131.9db

I have to agree to an extent. Infinity doesn't stand up to their excellent reputation with their aftermarket speakers. Being once sponsored by Pioneer, I was able to get my hands on their Premier Reference Series products... sadly, the only pioneer products I could recommend, minus the few high-end head-units.

First of all you don't buy speakers because you "like the color" you make you decision on the quality of the sound LOL you have a few things to learn.....
I would recommend MB Quart or Focal....but IMO I would not do rear speakers as I stated earlier, especially in an Accord. They have excellent acoustics and really don't need rear fill, the fronts and a sub will do you just fine. Unless you are planning on running 5.1 of course.
Just be sure to run a good clean amplifier to your front speakers (not off head unit power) and they will be plenty loud, and much more clear than you are apparently used to.
I have MB Quart Reference series 6.5" coax in my doors running off a JL Audio 300/4 which also powers a 13.5" JL Audio W1 Sub, this setup is extremely efficient and extremely clear, with great volume.
