Fuel Pump removal frustration

Fuel Pump removal frustration
Can't figure out how to get electrical lead off fuel pump (attached to sender unit) so I can slide tank out from under car. Rubber boot on electrical connection appears glued or something and I am afraid I'll tear it up trying to pull it off. Pic attached.
Can anyone lend some help? Thx
BTW, is it just my darn Accord or is the left rear tank strap bolt partially blocked by the frame? Stupid design by Honda if they are all like that. Can't get a thin wall socket or box wrench in there. IMHO, there a WAY to many parts to remove in order to drop an Accord tank. One further.. they could have just provided another access hole in the hatch area for the pump (Sender unit access hole is useless). Seems like an archaic design even for 1995.

The wires are usually attached to the car and you need to remove the back seat to disconnect them. You could clean off the dirt so you could see what your doing.

How is this archaic? I will tell you a 92+ civics have a access panal... Chevys you have to do this on and some fords still have to do to this date... Droping the tank is actually a very normal thing for most car manufactures to replace fuel pumps
Stop whining and just get it done its be done thousands of times before you and will be done thousands of times after you
