dont forget the drain bolt on the engine block to drain the coolant out of there. Run water through the entire system after you drain it all to clean it up a bit, drain the water out before refilling w/ coolant/water mix. I personally use 50/50, but its all about how much you want to put. Some people use more water, while others use more coolant.

do it when the engine is not hot or too cool
warm=more complete flush, cold water can crack that bi_ch up if it's
too hot.
50/50 works well.
becareful about the coolant, where to loose them and all that.
dont let your dog, family drink it..
and yeah..it eats away paint if you dont wipe it out..

Just use distilled water, cuz the tap water has minerals still in it and that can lower your cooling system efficiency, and do what iam7head said, after drained, put some distilled water in, and start the car and let that cicle a lil on the engine, so it will clean the rests, drain that and put your mix, you can mix it in a bucket and then pour it in the radiator, remember, fill the radiator and turn the car on, without the radiator cap, and keep toping it, after the radiator and engine are full, fill the reservoir (halfway) and you're done

patastinky, i went through the same process a coupel weeks ago. its not that hard at all. for coolant, i probably used 60 coolant and 40 percent water. it really doesn't have to too precise. its a good idea to add coolant while the car is running and the cap is off so all the air throughout the coolant system can be expelled.
good luck, and make sure you put the thermostat in correctly and make sure the gasket is ok.

Most of the coolant that you will find in an auto-parts store is already mixed, just pour it in I went through the same process when I destroyed my radiator, piece of crap Honda plastic, anyways good luck

Coolant is a light alcohol and can be flushed down most any incorporated sanitary sewer systems. Dont do it if you have a septic tank and dont put it down a street "rainwater" drain unless you know it is part of a combined san/storm system.

Keep in mind the sheer quantities shops get and remember it IS toxic. Its always best to have a shop dispose of any large amounts of chemicals, but if you dont, like it was said above, make sure its part of a municipal system, coolant does bad things to little critters in drain ponds.

wear gloves when you do it also. i was replacing my upper radiator water hose w/o gloves and i guess the coolant has some chemicals in it that my body reacted to and i started gettin red spots on my arms and sh*t. ran and took a shower and thankfully it went away shortly.
