Clicking Brake Issue
Hey guys hoping you can help me with this issue. Long story short i took my car to a shop to replace wheel studs, brakes now click when in use. They offered to do a brake hardware job for a reduced price but i just asked them to give me the kit for free and id do it myself.
My question is any of have an idea of what might be busted or installed wrong to make this noise? Thanks in advance.

What a shady shop.
Clicking is usually the pads are loose or sloppy in the caliper/caliper cage.
Quick internet diagnostic; schmuck who took your calipers off was a muppet and dislodged or lost the pad shims/locator springs...
Rear.
Front.
These are for a CD chassis. Don't forget to lube the ends of the caliper pads that slide on these shims.

Aftermarket hardware kits are complete junk. They usually don't fit correctly and will cause more sounds than they fix. Go junkyard or OEM and get a new set.

Yeah i ended up doing that, they even gave me the wrong kit haha. It was for the Akebono calipers but the coupes have nissins. Installed them in and all that, all good now! One question though i noticed theres no shims/backplates on the pads.. is that normal for 92 accord coupe front brake pads?

Re: Clicking Brake Issue
Actually it only depends on what country the car was made in as to what caliper it has. If it's made in Japan then it's Nissin. If it's made in America then it has Akebono. The first number of the Vin tells the tale...1 is for US made J is for Japan made
They should have anti squeal shims, but if not don't fret. Just buy some brake quiet..the stuff that you actually spray(comes in a type of paint can) to the backs of the pads and its sticky and then wait about 15 minutes for it to harden and spray another coat and wait another 15 minutes and then put it on and you should be good to go.

Kind of depends on what kind of driver, and how picky you are about your pedal.
I prefer the brick under foot feel, any squish drives me bonkers.
With that said, the metal anti-squeal shims make pad installation easier as you do not have to do anything with any glues or goos to install the pad. However, those metal shims can contribute to a minute amount of squish in the pedal and if you ever get any decent heat into the brakes, those shims will become soft and begin to melt, which will create a weird squishy feel to the pedal. So I use this stuff...
From Honda it shows one shim on the outside and two in the inside.
