Default Changing auto tranny anything special i should do?

First off its a 1999 accord. I have only worked on eg civics and have done tranny swaps in those. So is there any major difference between doing a eg civics tranny and a accord's? Also since its a auto is there anything special i should do? Should i do anything to the torque converter? Is there a tranny filter that i can change?

Stop being confused. When he pulls the tranny, there will be fluid left in the radiator. The idea is to change that out.

Is he swapping to a manual? Is he rebuilding the old tranny? Is he putting a used one in?

I don't think anyone knows what the question is about. Why is he pulling the transmission out?

Anyway... when pulling the transmission out. Difference between manual and automatic is the torque converter.

When you remove the flywheel dust cover, you'll see the flywheel (flexplate) is paper thin and has 10mm bolts to secure the torque converter on. Go ahead and remove those 10mm bolts, rotate the crankshaft a couple of times to reveal more bolts that need to come off. That's about the only difference between pulling an auto and manual off. Oh no wait, there's the shift linkage.... remove 3 12mm bolts from the shift linkage housing and it'll expose a cable attached to the transmission which is held on by a single 10mm bolt... remove that and shift linkage is off.

Everything else is the same as a manual except no clutch.
