Default balancing tires

Do you Accord owners balance your tires when you get them mounted? I'm contemplating if I should save a few bucks and have them just mounted and not balanced on my accord, cuz I am only changing two tires.

Is Balancing tires that important .....cuz people I know don't really do them but I just want to know since these tires are new

Thanks in advance

Yes for only a couple bucks more balance your tires....it will provide for a smoother ride, promote more even tire wear and alignment too....I got mine done at discount tire for 11 bucks rotated, balanced and mounted.

definitely balance, align and rotate almost every time you change tires or switch out your winters vs. aftermarkets or whatever. it is always worth the extra few bucks

One would think that new tires should be so symetrical that they should not need balanced, but that is not the case. I am like you and would rather not pay extra even if it is only a couple bucks per tire, so I have run used tires unbalanced on several cars. Frankly it was not worth the effort, the ride was not nice, and it ended up with increased maintenance costs for shocks and leaking drive shaft seals.
The manufacturers dont say that you need tires balanced and car aligned because the car will run safely without, but in practice you will achieve lower cost, a comfortable ride, and possibly a safer ride if you keep your tires balanced and your front end aligned.
Cars are a money pit. About the only place it makes sense to eliminate cost is on cosmetics. Keep the mechanical stuff up to snuff.

I work at discount tire and do all my own stuff for free . Everytime a tire is mounted onto your wheel Id deffinatley have it balanced and air checked. All tires arent created equal and same goes for wheels. Its only a few bucks but youll be getting a smoother ride and even tire wear in return.

i always figured it went without saying..when you mount a tire on a vehicle you should have it balanced.

unbalanced tire can suck depending how much out of balance it is, generally at speeds above 50 it can shake and vibrate the whole car.

if that's $15 with mounting, balancing, and new valve stems per each tire that's not too bad

The few bucks you save by not balancing them will be far outweighed by the loss in tire life from uneven tread wear and alignment issues.

Cheers,

I worked at a tire shop for nearly two years. During that time I must have balanced thousands of tires and I can count on one hand the number of times a tire/wheel assembly did not need any weights added to it. My recommendation would be to always have a tire balanced any time it is mounted on a wheel. - KC
