Default Backfiring like a ****

Alright...

situation: F23A1 engine into a 91 Accord with an auto-manual with a 94 H23 5-spd

think I finally got all the wiring right and I'm finally getting fuel and ignition, problem being, it will idle, but it doesn't idle right, AND it backfires every 2-4 seconds. Just keeps doing it...over and over.

Cam/Crank timing is right
The plug wires are on the right places (i think anyways...if someone wants to help me out with that one and tell me the order of the plug wires on a 94-95 accord ex distributor)

I dunno what else to do...

thanks guys

ok i ran out to the beast and wrote down my firing order

lets start on the left most cyl (the one right next to the distrib) and lets call that #1 and the rest in sequence of course.
look at the distributor and start from the top going clockwise (to the right) from the top on around the firing order should be like this:

2, 1, 3, 4

hope this helps

problem being is I have the 91 accord helms...and the 98-99 haynes...

i dont have the 94-97 one and would rather not buy it just for the firing order

so if anyone wants to help me out that'd be great

cool, now i just gotta wait 4 hours till i get out of work to go try it...

but i have another question...problem

the clutch doesn't have any pressure...the pedal just sticks to the floor, I tried to put fluid in the system and I dont really think it took much of it...but I can't get the system to build pressure...and helms doesn't tell you a procedure for filling up the clutch lines...

Backfiring is caused by running lean, check your ignition timing and and your fuel injectors and cam but you said you checked that already,....

you gonna have the bleed that clutch like a ****. ive done it to mine 3 times, and it takes about 30-45 mins to bleed an empty clutch cylinder. mine was completely empty all 3 times, so it just takes time and patience. might want to get a couple of extra btolles of clutch fluid. have fun

wait a minuite, this statement makes no sense, if one is running lean, that means there is a lesser concentration of unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust with which to react with ambient atmospheric oxygen. he was backfiring dude to the fact that his firing order was wired wrong and the exhaust was being filled with unburnt fuel igniting with outside air
