Default back seat removal

i'm gonna be taking out my back seats today because of the 'gas spill' in my car and i'm going to try to clean some of it out that got underneath my carpet...but i was curious as to what problems i'm going to have when i do this...i realize it's pretty straight forward (just a couple of bolts) but i have to put this back in after i'm done...(and yes i want the seats in the car for now...maybe at a later time i will take them out for good)...but is it going to be a problem to put them back in after i'm done...and also...i have a coupe so do i have to take out my front seats so that the back seat will come out?...any info would be great thanks!

The seats are very easy to remove and reinstall. I have taken mine out plenty of times and reinstalled them. I have had to do this because of nitrous installations.

As far as it being a coupe, that is no problem either. You can do it with the seats in, but since it only takes a minute to emove the front seats, I would atleast remove one of them. It made it easier in the cars I have had to do it in.

*update*...just took out the backseats and front passenger seat...i'm going to leave them that way for a few days so the gas smell evaporates a little faster...i've cleaned the carpet up front and in the trunk with that oxy clean stuff and it's doing pretty well...but...underneath the back seat there is some kind of material (kinda like vinyl but i'm not sure what it is) and the gas has clung to it and melted it...is it necessary back there?...it's melted through so it's no good anymore anyways and i've already begun removing it...but i just thought i would be cautious and check if it's something i need...though i see no point in it...thanks!

Sounds like the sound deadening material, it won't hurt anything to remove it.

The easiest way to remove that is to get some dry ice and crush it with a hammer. Lay it on it until it freezes and then break the stuff off. Otherwise you just end up with a gooey mess. Do not try to heat it.

Some cans of air duster will help as well, spraying upside down makes them spray an extremely cold blast of air, its almost impossible to hold the can, wear some gloves, it will freeze the sound insulation.

It is fun to freeze bees with canned air. They hit the ground with a loud *thud*

So I had too much free time during lunch in High school shoot meh.

thanks guys....i got most of it out...as you can see in the other post wherever...i got rid of most of the gas by using gas on a rag...gas clings to gas i guess...there's also this stuff called orange goop that is for cleaning hands off when they are really dirty...that helped get off the gas and sound deadning material too...i'm afraid i'm going to have to replace the backseat though because the foam underneath the seat is covered in gas and stinks horribly...(i think this is why my car smells so bad)...but oh well...
