Default Any tips

im about to change my power steering hose tomorrow. u guys got any tips?. its my frist time doing this i dnt want to waste more money to get it fix cuz i messed up.

So far i know is to take it out and put new o-rings and spin the wheel after im done for 2mins. also to take the old fluid and put new fluid

That's basically the process. Bleeding the power steering can make you crazy, though. If it starts to foam it is very hard to settle it down - it just keeps recirculating foam. I suggest leaving the belt off at first and turning the pulley by hand (CCW - right?) for a while. There should be very little resistance as long as you are not trying to steer. Doing it by hand gives you a lot more control over the flow and you can keep up with the fluid level easily. When it stops bubbling and drinking you can put the belt on and fire it up. The big mistake I made was probaby turning the steering wheel back and forth too rapidly, especially at first. I was warned it would take a lot of cycles so I put it on jack stands and whipped the wheel one way and the other. I think that got air into places it wasn't originally. When it is quiet and not foamy, life is good.
