Default about floor jack

bought a floor jack with range of 5" to 13" to jack my 97 accord. It cannot lift the car high enough for me to insert the jack stands to have front wheels in air. Any recommendations about floor jack, what kind of range is a good choice for accord?

yeah im thinking that you are needing a smaller jack stand. my car is lowered so the height of my car once i raise it is lower than stock height and i can use my jack stand just fine...

the problem is that I need to have wheels in air. whenever I release the pressure of the floor jack, the wheels come back to ground first and then touch the jack stands. I cannot use a higher level of the jack stands since the lift is not enough to do that.
